How long does it take to film an episode from a soap opera until it actually airs on tv?

I think it takes three days to film the episode and they air it one week later.

I know on the tv show House, they said during the writers strike, it takes them about 6 weeks from beginning till end, but they also have multiple episodes in production at once. and it takes them a little longer than most because they have to get all the medical parts of it accurate.
