I'm not sure if it's me or my TV but over the past couple of weeks whenever I catch an episode of the soap opera All My Children on ABC-TV, the film looks weird. The cameras seem like they move around a lot and the picture looks almost like it was taped with an average camcorder instead of a studio camera. I feel like I'm watching a home movie rather than something filmed at a professional studio. It only looks that way with All My Children, nothing else looks like that so I'm thinking it must be something with that show only. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know what's going on?
What's wrong with the cameras that tape All My Children?extension
I was just watching AMC %26amp; thought the exact same thing. I think the new "wobbly" camera shots are stupid !
Let's write them emails on the internet %26amp; complain. You can find the AMC site on the web.
What's wrong with the cameras that tape All My Children?movie theater opera theaterThey are using a mix of videotape (what soaps are usually filmed on) and film. Report It
The director was replaced with the one for the blair witch project movie.
you have been brainwashed by aliens - that is just a joke
Even the camera's hate the show so much that they try to escape from the cameramen's arms.
Okay, so it isn't just me. I'm pretty sure that they've either gone from video to film, film to video, or from one type of film to another. I watched Friday for the first time in awhile, and was like - am I on drugs or something? I don't like the new production values at all, and wish they would go back to the other. But knowing ABC, this is probably cheaper. Sure LOOKS cheaper.
We were just talking about that. We agree they need to go back to the way its was filmed.
some of the soaps are doing different things, such as getting new head writers and stuff. I watched an episode the other day of AMC and it was pretty disheartening. I am so behind on that show. anyway, I hope that soon the powers that be realize the mistakes they are making. take care
To me they always do weird stuff over the summers, I guess trying to attract teens. I figured it was just another part of that...
